The New Britain, Pennsylvania-based marketer of full line frozen and smoked fish products took the first-place Gold Award for New Products judged during the Innovation in Seafood Conference at the Boston Seafood Show on March 12.
Produced with lower salt content than smoked salmon, yet still containing beneficial Omega-3 oils, the item is aimed at consumers concerned about salt and fat intake, as well as chefs looking for something new to add to seafood buffet offerings.
