WASHINGTON -- Food Allergy Awareness Week (May 5-11) "underscores the seriousness with which government, consumer organizations and the food industry address food allergy-related issues, as well as highlighting efforts to ensure strong protections for food-allergic consumers," according to the National Food Processors Association (NFPA).
