Itronix Corporation has entered into a Business Partner Agreement with Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ) under which Compaq will offer the Itronix GoBook Notebook line of rugged and ultra-rugged notebook PCs to its federal, state and local government customers.
"This relationship rounds out Compaq's notebook offerings for government customers," said Jim Weynand, vice president of government and education markets with Compaq. "Demand for rugged and ultra-rugged mobile computing is growing -- something our government customers need and have requested for use in applications ranging from law enforcement to public safety and Homeland Security."
