Barrington board reinstates job protection for department heads
Barrington trustees have overturned Village President Marshall Reagle's veto and reinstated the employment-termination agreements intended to protect department heads from being fired by Reagle without due cause.
But first, trustees wanted to understand the reason for Reagle's veto in the first place.
Reagle said he vetoed the bill because he felt it was unfair that only department heads were receiving the protection and termination benefits rather than all employees. He thought clerks and assistants should be afforded the ...
