May 16--The race to capture the lucrative movie-going market in and around Altamonte Springs is on.
Developers of the proposed Altamonte Town Center project announced an agreement with a small, Atlanta-based theater chain to build a 16-screen megaplex by the spring of next year.
MegaStar Cinemas LLC said it intends to open a complex with 3,800 seats and two VIP suites featuring lounge chairs and catered food. The theater is to be the centerpiece of the $150 million Town Center, an 800,000-square-foot retail-and-entertainment district planned for the southwest ...
