They said it couldn't be done, and "they" weren't just anybody.
Alan Alda and Mike Farrell, linchpins of "M.A.S.H." for its final eight seasons on CBS, had resisted all entreaties to regroup and re-hash. Been there, done that, not gonna happen, wouldn't be prudent. N-o, NO!
Then along came last November's "The Carol Burnett Show: Showstoppers," the now famed blooper special that drew 30 million viewers of all ages and sent networks into unprecedented fits of nostalgia.
Fox seemingly had a problem, though. Birthed in 1987, the network didn't have much of a past to mine. Remembering the good ol' days of "21 Jump Street" didn't seem like much of ...
