WESTMINSTER -- The tears weren't far behind.
Liz Earley holed the final putt of the Denver Futures Golf Classic on the 18th hole of the Legacy Ridge Golf Club on Sunday and turned toward the mountains and shook her left fist at the sky.
That final tap-in not only gave Earley an eight-shot win, it also gave the Canadian back the belief she could play the game again.
Two years ago come December, surgeons sliced open her left wrist, sawed 2 inches off the end of a forearm bone then put the wrist joint back together with a metal plate and five screws.
