To explain the White Sox' 5-2 loss to the stripped-down Texas Rangers at Comiskey Park on Wednesday night, let's go right to the numbers.
When the Sox' offense is rolling, an early knockout punch is usually landed.
But when the White Sox are trailing after six innings, the final outcome has been easy to forecast.
Trying to chase down Texas was another futile exercise, and the Sox are now 1-16 in games where they've been behind after the sixth.
