WASHINGTON -- The other day on a popular Sunday talk show, several respected veteran journalists were tossing around the idea that America's European and Arab allies may take a powder should the United States decide to pounce on Iraq.
One of the more senior members of the panel, a man widely considered to be intelligent and thoughtful, responded with two simple words: "So what?"
