IT'S ALWAYS interesting to hear from Elina Fuhrman, who emigrated to the United States from Moscow a decade ago. Elina married a Madison congressional candidate, Nick Fuhrman, and they brought Elina's mother, Rita Kozmits, to Madison. I wrote about Rita's successful quest to become a U.S. citizen.
Three years ago, Elina and Nick and their two daughters moved to Atlanta, where Elina got a job with CNN, a longtime dream. In 1989, Elina had watched the fall of the Berlin Wall on a hotel TV in Moscow -- the only set in the city that got CNN. "I never knew there was a Berlin Wall," she said.
