PORTLAND, Ore. -- When thousands of women, men and kids lace up their sneakers and join in this Sunday's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5-mile Walk, they'll be doing more than just shine a light on a good cause. The funds they raise will help bring researchers closer to a cure for breast cancer, and they will help fund American Cancer Society programs that help improve the lives of women and men who suffer from the disease.
