KILL DEVIL HILLS -- KILL DEVIL HILLS - Residents can expect the local tax rate here to remain at 42.5 cents under the 2002-03 municipal spending plan recommended this week by Town Manager Debora Diaz.

That means a resident with a home assessed at $200,000 will pay $850 toward municipal operations.

The proposed $9.9 million budget is about $1.7 million higher than the 2001-02 budget.
