NAGS HEAD -- NAGS HEAD - Residents here will see a 2-cent increase in the municipal property tax rate if town commissioners approve the recommended2002-03 budget presented by Town Manager Webb Fuller.
The proposed rate of 37.8 cents per $100 of assessed value would represent the first increase since 1997, when it went up by a cent.
What that would mean for a homeowner whose house is assessed at $200,000 is an additional tax of $40, for a total of $756 a year.
