Is there a Dr. No out there who puts the whammy on things just for kicks? Nowadays the what's-in-and-what's-out phenomenon seems to happen in the span of 10 minutes. Like these overnight sensations:
Black leather blazers. Cargo pants. Dark "Regis" dress shirts. Purple ties. They're over! Yeah?
Look, I've been keeping my nose in various markets for years and I don't buy the "It's over!" list or the other one that screams "It's back!" Did you hear that buttondown dress shirts and sweaters are coming back? Had they gone away? I suppose skinny black suits are coming back too. Show me one fashion magazine that doesn't have at least five in every issue.
