NEW YORK-Banking on her reputation for elegant and timeless bridal designs, Vera Wang has become the latest fashion designer to move into home furnishings with a suite of Wedgwood crystal and bone china that makes its debut at the Spring Tabletop Show here this week.
For the starry-eyed bride who cannot afford a $10,000 bridal gown, it's a way to have a part of the Vera Wang name. Or, as Moira Gavin, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Wedgwood, put it, "It's more than just a plate, it's a piece of a dream."
