TOSHIBA NAMES TECH DATA IN CREDIT COLLECTION LAWSUIT
IRVINE, Calif., July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. today filed suit in California superior court against Tech Data Corp., a Florida-based electronics distributor. The suit claims that Tech Data has breached its contract with Toshiba, and asks damages in excess of $1.6 million. Toshiba terminated its distribution agreement with Tech Data and five other distributors of Toshiba portable computers and peripherals as part of a strategic reevaluation of its distribution programs earlier this year.
