Smile, Denver, you'll soon be back on the candid cameras of the photo radar police.
Denver officials plan to put photo radar vans back on the street ``as soon as appropriately possible,'' and certainly by this summer, said Jim Thomas of the city attorney's office.
``Citizens want it. We want it. It's always been a public safety issue,'' Thomas said.
Denver suspended photo radar after Denver County Court Judge Mary Celeste ruled in January that it was illegal because the tickets weren't issued by police. The city used a private civilian contractor to run the program.
