Daniel Pearl
Officials last week found what appeared to be the remains of slain journalist Daniel Pearl near a shed where they believe he was kept on the outskirts of Karachi, Pakistan. The discovery comes nearly four months after the 38-year-old Wall Street Journal reporter disappeared. Four people charged in the case, including alleged ringleader Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, are now on trial in Pakistan. The remains were found just two days after CBS aired part of a gruesome video documenting Pearl's slaying.
