May 18--George Zoffinger met Friday with the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce, most of the mayors of southern Bergen County, and his just-appointed business advisory council for that region -- all before noon.
The head of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority was doing some heavy-duty listening.
The aim: to convince skeptical Meadowlands area leaders that they aren't being left behind as Governor McGreevey pursues passage of the $165 millon bond package that is the cornerstone for a proposed arena in Newark.
