Northfield, Minn. -- By ones and twos, people trickle into the chapel at St. Olaf College on a cloudy Thursday morning. Soon more than 100 students and faculty members are listening as a student tearfully introduces a music group that plays Brahms' "Tragic Overture."
Everyone knows a faculty member lost a child to illness earlier in the week. But this service wasn't set up because of the death. St. Olaf has chapel every weekday morning.
