WHEN Kylie Minogue first heard a demo version of a song called Can't Get You Out Of My Head at the end of 2000, she knew it was something special: "I can honestly say that 15 seconds in, I loved it already, and one minute thirty, two minutes in, I was having mild apoplexy." The song's authors, Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis, were perhaps even more surprised at how good it was.
They wrote it round at Davis's house in just five hours.
