May 23--East St. Louis students will have the opportunity to attend a building trades charter school this fall.
The school board unanimously voted Wednesday night to accept the third proposal offered by the Emerson Park Development Corp., pending the signing of contract between both sides.
The school will be for high school students in grades nine through 12 at risk of quitting school and will be located in the building on State Street that houses the YouthBuild construction program for students ages 18 to 24.
