IT is a mystery passed from generation to generation for almost 90 years.
But time is running out for those who hope to save what could be one of Merseyside's most historic buildings.
The Victorian property in Low Wood Road, Birkenhead, is reputed to be the place where Lord BadenPowell stayed while giving an inspirational speech which led to the creation of the world's first Boy Scout group in Birkenhead.
But recent research carried out by the Scout Association has failed to find concrete evidence of BadenPowell's time at the house.
