Business has improved in the cast urethane product industry during the past few months, and prospects for the second half seem much brighter than they were a year ago, according to a number of suppliers and manufacturers.
A stronger economy, some new products and materials, and better planning are contributing to the upturn.
A 15-month slide didn't impact all cast urethane goods makers, and some companies were hit harder than others, several attendees said at the Polyurethane Manufacturers Association spring meeting, held May 4-7 in Point Clear, Ala. But at this point last year, many companies experienced a leveling off of sales and a drop in orders.
