Dean Foods Co. has reported completion of the acquistion of 64% of White Wave Inc., the leading manufacturer of soymilk in the U.S., that the company did not own.
Soymilk "is one of the most promising branded growth opportunities in the beverage and food industry today," Dean chair and chief executive officer Gregg Engles said, and Dean is committed "to investing and innovating in the functional beverage arena."
He said the current White Wave management team will remain in place and located at White Wave offices in Boulder, Colo.
