IN 1998, LITTLE ROCK restaurant owner John Gaiser seriously considered opening a Buffalo Grill in Conway.
Gaiser ultimately passed on the idea, citing the county's prohibition on serving alcohol as the main reason to took elsewhere.
"But, in hindsight, we may have been foolish," said Gaiser, who owns the Buffalo Grills on Rebsamen Park Road in Little Rock and on JFK Boulevard in North Little Rock.
Conway has been in the middle of a population and building boom during the last several years. The city's population has been expanding since the 1960s, but it has exploded since 1990, when it was 26,328.
