FOR SOME TIME THE BUZZ-word for economic development has been regionalism.
The idea seems to be that most business projects will impact several communities in a region, not just the town in which it's located.
That makes sense. Why should towns such as Warren and Monticello go to the mat fighting against one another for a business when cooperation could benefit both?
Or the towns might be Little Rock and Conway.
But regionalism recently broke down when word got out that American Management Corp., a growing 200plus employee insurance underwriting firm, was looking to build.
What evolved was a bidding war that surely benefited ...
