A BUS driver yesterday denied recklessly overtaking an aristocrat's horse-drawn carriage causing it to crash into an oncoming car.
Lady Lindsay, 40, the wife of the Earl of Lindsay, has claimed the palomino horses took fright after Robert Imrie's Stagecoach bus 'zoomed' past the carriage, in which she was riding with her groom, causing the horses to bolt.
The two horses careered across the A915 Leven to St Andrews road in April 2000, and collided head-on with a Honda, injuring the animals so badly that one had to be withdrawn from shows and the other was no longer able to pull a carriage.
