Will Barclay, a lawyer and son of former state Sen. H. Douglas Barclay, will seek the Republican designation for the new 124th state Assembly District.
Barclay, who lives near Pulaski, made formal announcements Thursday in Camillus and Oswego.
If elected, he promised to deliver excellent service to his constituents.
"I'm going to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week," said Barclay, 33. "My father has drilled into my head, "Always return phone calls. Always pay attention to the people who elected you."'
