May 25--The proposed Mount Pleasant bank formerly known as Liberty -- which recently changed its name to Tidelands Bank --announced its list of organizers Friday as part of the group's application with federal agencies to seek a national charter.
Barry I. Kalinsky of Charleston, who is part owner and general manager of Bob Ellis Shoe Store, would be chairman. Fred H. Renken, also of Charleston and president of boat builder Sea Fox Boats, would be vice chairman. The bank, pending regulatory approval, would open by December.
