May 26--FORT WORTH, Texas--The Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau will not rejoin its Arlington, Irving and Dallas counterparts in a regional marketing program that Fort Worth helped create nearly 10 years ago.
The Fort Worth bureau's board of directors voted unanimously this week not to invest in the Dallas Metroplex Program, which regionally markets local destinations and attractions. The campaign, which has an annual budget of $2.5 million to $3 million, buys advertising and sponsors promotions to drive visitors to the area.
