Symyx Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:SMMX) announced today that it has expanded its business model to include intellectual property licensing. This strategic initiative will be led by Irving S. Rappaport, who joins Symyx today as vice president, intellectual property licensing business. Symyx initiated its Intellectual Property Licensing business with the recently announced patent licensing agreement with the General Electric Company (NYSE:GE).
