TOP Italian furniture and kitchen manufacturers are increasingly colonising the capital with standalone shops or concessions within department stores.
Two funky Italian furniture companies, Driade and Kartell, show some of their best ideas at Selfridges while Cassina - the Italian firm which manufactures classic re-editions of famous furniture - has a concession at Chaplins in Knightsbridge. Harrods, too, has taken the Italians to heart with Porada, Flexform, Minotti and Desalto among its contemporary furnishing ranges.
