West Dundee officials are gearing up for a fight with Elgin over land they believe rightfully belongs in their village.
A developer is looking to build an industrial park on 120 acres of land, north of Route 72 and west of Dundee Highlands Middle School.
The area has been a subject of debate between West Dundee and Elgin for some time.
For a couple of years, the two municipalities have negotiated how the area would be developed. West Dundee was looking for sewer capacity from Elgin to serve its westward expansion. But the talks broke down, and West Dundee signed an agreement with East Dundee ...
