"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," published 100 years ago, created a fantasy land of beauty and beasts, and lions and tigers and bears, for children throughout the ages.
Author L. Frank Baum continued the story with other books about Dorothy and her friends from Oz. Baum, who was born in Chittenango, is honored each year with OzFest.
After Baum's death, other writers, called the Royal Historians of Oz, wrote more books about Oz.
