Look at the sacred cows
Because clothes are a necessity, especially in our climate of extremes, we don't tax clothing in Minnesota. Not the darling yellow rain slicker for $595. Not the studded jeans for $258 that would look great with their sequin halter top for $184. Not the lambskin bomber jacket (Italian tanned) on sale for only $299.
Another necessity we don't tax in Minnesota is food. Not cookies, cakes or Chocolate Dipped Praline Pecan Cheesecake Bites from Sara Lee. Not the kalamata olives at $6.13 a jar. Not the chutney for $5.99. Not the centercut tenderloin at $22.95 a pound.
