The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association's (WCMA) World Championship Cheese Contest is the largest international cheese judging competition in the world. The 2002 Contest, held March 19-22, marked the 24th biennial event, surpassing all previous World Championship Cheese Contests with 1,144 entries from 20 nations.
Winners were honored during last month's International Cheese Technology Exposition, a three-day conference sponsored by WCMA and the Wisconsin Center for Diary Research.
