NEW YORK - Derek Lowe's game plan for tonight's start against the Yankees is brilliant.
It's just a shame it's against the rules.
"I'll pitch the first, have a reliever come in and pitch the second and then I'll come back in the third - that's the way we're going to do it," said Lowe Wednesday in Toronto.
Lowe (7-2, 2.12 ERA) is aware that the three-run second inning he was responsible for at Fenway Park on May 25 was all the Yankees needed to escape with a 3-2 win.
