Targeting power generation applications from 100 kW to over 2 MW, Gas Technologies, Inc. (GTI) has introduced its Bi-Fuel system, a technology designed to allow most models of diesel engines to operate on natural gas.
The Bi-Fuel system provides gas to the engine using a technique known as fumigation. In a process similar to that utilized by throttle bodies found in spark-ignited engine applications, the Bi-Fuel system supplies gas to the engine utilizing the original combustion air intake system of the engine.
