A 15-year-old trapeze artist who fell from more than 20 feet during a stunt show this week at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee has been released from a hospital.
Great America spokeswoman Susie Storey said the teen was released Wednesday after an overnight stay at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. She said the performer, who sustained head injuries, hopes to return to work in a couple of weeks.
Paramedics were summoned to the amusement park about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after the girl fell onto a carpeted, wooden platform and was knocked unconscious during the "Zajii! An Acrobatic ...
