Dan: This seems to me to be one of those things where you and I are in complete agreement.
But for those people who qualify for the Roth - and that's the key - you have to qualify with certain income levels and so forth. If you qualify for the Roth, I think we're in agreement, the Roth is the better deal than the traditional IRA.
Cynthia: Well, a lot of people actually are bumped out of the IRA because you do have income limits if you're part of a pension plan. And those income limits are not very generous.
So a Roth IRA allows you to go up to $150,000 in income before you begin to be phased ...
