Two prominent Minnesota artists and a Minneapolis art consultant are heading for Europe this month, probably permanently.
Fresco painter Mark Balma plans to open a fresco school in Assisi, Italy, where he lived and worked for many years. Painter and furniture designer Mark Larson, who studied art in Switzerland in the 1970s and has co-owned a house in southwestern France for the past 10 years, hopes to expand the French market for his paintings. Art consultant Holly Hastings, Larson's companion, will investigate the possibility of opening a gallery.
