Jun. 5--In the 14 months since changing leadership, laying off workers and giving up on its trademark returnable bottles, Promised Land Dairy has gone nationwide.
The Floresville-based milk can now be found in 44 states, and it recently introduced two new flavors -- Mooberry Blueberry and Dulce de Leche -- to its specialty lineup. After several years of experimentation and streamlining, Promised Land is about ready to turn a profit.
What's familiar: The dairy still milks about 900 Jersey cows twice daily and puts their product in glass bottles. But the milk only ...
