ABIX via COMTEX) -- Obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS) is the most common sleep breathing disorder in New Zealand. Some one to four per cent of adult New Zealanders suffer from sleep apnoea, with night sleeping characterised by loud snoring and pauses in breathing while feeling sleepy during the day.
