Jun. 6--Krispy Kreme Doughnut Inc.'s overseas expansion will begin in Australia, the company told shareholders at its annual meeting in Winston-Salem yesterday.
Krispy Kreme Australia, a new company in which Krispy Kreme will hold a 35 percent stake, will start to develop the Australian market next year, followed by the New Zealand market. The rest of Krispy Kreme Australia's ownership will be held by Borderless Australia, an Australian company.
Krispy Kreme also announced that baseball legend Hank Aaron has been awarded a Krispy Kreme franchise in Atlanta. ...
