NEW YORK, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- British Airways on Friday (Aug.3) initiates its New York to Glasgow service at the peak of a $400,000 campaign across the U.S. highlighting the new gateway to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

To mark the inaugural flight, Lord King, chairman of British Airways, will be leading a group of VIPs from Scotland and Northern Ireland -- including the Lord Provost of Glasgow -- in a three-day visit to New York. During their stay, they are being hosted by New York area businessmen.
