GM DISTRIBUTES VACATION PAY TO HOURLY WORKERS
DETROIT, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- General Motors said today that it has completed distribution of $308 million in annual vacation pay and paid absence allowance to approximately 139,000 U.S. hourly employees with seniority dates between Jan. 1 and June 30.
Of the total payment, $284 million was for vacation pay and $24 million was for paid absence allowance not used during the eligibility period.
This payment is in addition to the $424 million in vacation pay and paid absence allowance GM distributed last January to approximately 186,000 hourly employees with seniority dates between July 1 and Dec. ...
