ABIX via COMTEX) -- An improvement in tourism numbers is what Japan and South Korea hope will eventuate as a result of being hosts of the World Cup. The executive vice-president of the Japan National Tourist Organisation, Toshiko Sawada, believes that the television programs broadcast in association with the World Cup will show potential travellers that it is economically viable to travel to Japan. South Korea and Japan both have expensive hotels and other tourism costs which are considered to be high in comparison with other countries.
