Jun. 6--In their efforts to suspend a court ruling that limits mountaintop removal, coal industry lawyers have argued that the decision would end all coal mining.

But on Monday, the operation targeted by the lawsuit that prompted the ruling said it could mine coal without burying streams.

In a letter to federal regulators, Beech Fork Processing Inc. said it could comply with Chief US District Judge Charles H. Haden II's ruling.
