COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ Big 12 commissioner Kevin Weiberg acknowledged the possibility of the conference being a part of Fort Worth's proposed football bowl game slated for 2003 if approved by the NCAA early next year.
"That could be a prospect," Weiberg said Thursday at the conclusion of the Big 12's spring meetings. "I understand that Conference USA has committed to one-half of that game."
TCU is a member of C-USA and the game would take place at Amon Carter Stadium. ESPN Regional, a driving force in the proposed Fort Worth bowl, is also a Big 12 partner.
